Overview

Creation, Maintenance, and Analysis of Bill of Materials, Routings, and Item Costs

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 

  • Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through creation or change inputs interpretating new or existing engineering drawings and directives of the ECO Document.
  • Upload and maintain IM (item masters), BOM (bills of materials), and RRC (request for routing changes). Ensure component and product set up is complete for plant operations to create work orders.
  • Roll costs of procured components, manufactured components, and act as additional resource to roll cost of newly released product.
  • Understand and interpret cost types and other set up completion requirements to implement corrective actions to plant manufacturing and/or sales entry system errors.
  • Review and process weekly audits of BOMs, routings, costs, and required operations IM fields.
  • Contribute to new product development discussions surrounding BOM structure/set up, routing information, and project timing with regards to ERP set up completion.
  • Eliminate obsolete system data by working with Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other cross functional teams on SKU Rationalization and/or other initiatives.
  • Assist standard cost roll team by preparing IM data, particularly the clean-up of obsolete items used in active BOMs. Analyze BOM and routing integrity of manufactured components and SKUs to confirm anticipated year-to-year standard cost variances.

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience

Experience:

  • Experience with manufacturing terminology, cost accounting, or interpreting engineering drawings
  • Microsoft Office related to Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP system preferred
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate with cross functional partners
  • Experience implementing process improvements
