We are seeking a talented Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to join our team. You will provide leadership and transformation for the operational engineering strategy to include site-specific safety, environmental, engineering, maintenance, capital projects, standards compliance, recruitment and training, equipment and controls optimization. You will partner with plant resources and sourced suppliers on projects and initiatives to achieve ‘best in class’ manufacturing cost performance. New Product /Process Development
• Recruit, organize and develop the manufacturing engineering team.
• Provide leadership to Safety and Environmental compliance requirements and performance management within the facility.
• Optimize the performance of existing manufacturing processes and provide support to Advanced Mfg. Technology as needed for the development of new manufacturing processes, material and equipment capabilities.
• Implement plant-specific process technologies in support of NPD initiatives and to improve existing operational manufacturing performance.
• Stay up to date and transfer knowledge into engineering organization abroad as required.
Manufacturing Engineering
• Responsible for driving improvements in productivity and product flow throughout the manufacturing process & material supply chain (metal forming, welding, powder paint and assembly). Provide leadership to cost reduction process and project teams.
• Ensure process uniformity & accountability (rates, methods, work practices) and implement use of existing & new manufacturing procedures.
• Provide technical leadership for plant-specific initiatives (as required) implementing Lean/Demand Flow strategies.
• Responsible for driving site manufacturing capacity planning activities.
• Coordinate efforts with manufacturing operations, advanced manufacturing technology, planning, and purchasing to analyze in-house and supplier capabilities to identify capacity shortfalls and recommend & implement action plans to meet business objectives.
Capital Investment Management
• Responsible for budget creation and management of operations capital spending.
• Work with Finance and all operations teams to identify annual Capital expenditure requirements.
Engineering Infrastructure
• Improve overall proficiency and performance of the manufacturing engineering department
Other
• Responsible for driving an environment where individuals are treated with respect and dignity across all locations
• Ensure product / process compliance to local and regulatory standards

Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Minimum of 3-5 years of managerial experience
• 10+ years of designing and implementing manufacturing and industrial engineering applications solutions in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of requirements to do each job (production, scheduling, inventory management, product design & testing, manufacturing processes).
• 5+ years of managing projects or programs with major focus on cross-functional approach. Change Management experience.
• Equipment & Facility Maintenance management is a plus
• Experience managing plant Safety and Environmental programs
• Experience working in a Global environment is a plus

• Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to instill those skills in others.
• Broad business and technical aptitude Strong oral and written communication skills

• Bilingual (Spanish & English) is a plus
